A Drum and a Weddingbox

In this Children´s theatre he narrates about a traditional wedding in the village life. This he does with the help of dance, music and his suggestive narration where the children themselves can participate. In this theatre we can recognise old wedding procedures in all societies.

The programme is suitable for all ages.

Yenkuba

In his new programme "Yenkuba" he tells us about how a night and day of an eclipse of the sun is spent in his home town Gbinti in Sierra Leone, West Africa.

The master dragon "Yenkuba" sent by their angry ancestors swallows the sun. They dance, they sing, they sacrifice and chant phrases of guilt and forgivness. The sun comes back. Male children born during the night of eclipes inherit the name "Yenkuba". The program concludes with a christening ceremony with dance and music.

In his unique way of narrating, Ahmadu captures the attention of his audience which participates and fantasizes throughout the programme. The programme also contains highlights of Ahmadu Jarr`s previous programmes:
